The Magic of Trains

What is it about trains?
When Evan and I went for our walk yesterday, we heard the train coming so we diverted off our usual path to go and see it. He doesn't like loud noises (that's an understatement), but, of course, this was a train--exceptions are made for them!

I don't know what it is but boys do seem to love trains. Monkey is the same way. He'll cover his ears if we speak too loudly but he doesn't mind the roar of a train at all. I wish we lived somewhere we could see freight trains, the commuter trains we see are so short and traveling so fast it's over too soon :-)

Thanks, I do like to follow my kids around with a camera!
Yes, the freight trains are great for the entertainment of the kids, but, the tracks go through the center of the town; sometimes it can be a longggg wait--especially when they stop, back up, and then go forward again! :) As a matter of fact, the windows are open, and I can hear a whistle RIGHT NOW! :)

I don't get it either, but I suspect some of it is on the Y gene. Love the photo! Barbara

Barbara, I agree! I know a few grown men with elaborate train sets in their garages. I have yet to meet a woman with a train collection, although I'm sure there must be some out there somewhere. I can't blame everything on the X. ;)
